Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations 

Each year the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce takes time to honor deserving individuals from the community and from the chamber’s membership at its Annual Community Awards Banquet. The chamber is now accepting nominations for its 2018 Community Awards.

Nominations are being sought for awards in the following categories: The D.E. Box Citizen of the Year, Business Hall of Fame, Member of the Year, Don Ramey Community Spirit Award, Ted Willhoite Legacy Award and Women’s Division Woman of the Year.

Doughlicious Opens 
On Main Street

Doughlicious, a retail bakery that provides safe-to-eat cookie dough, has opened a location at 129 S. Main St., Suite 140. The company uses pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour to take the danger out of eating cookie dough. Doughlicious offers 10-12 flavors of dough every day that are available for purchase by the scoop and served in cups, cones or milkshakes. Also on offer are sample packs to let customers try several flavors. Doughlicious also offers catering services.

Doughlicious is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit DoughliciousUSA.com.

The Grapevine Escape 
Opens its Doors

The Grapevine Escape, a business offering three themed escape rooms, which have grown in popularity in the last few years, has opened its doors at 160 N. Main St. The three rooms—Going to the Chapel, a wedding-themed room; FocusTech Labs, a science laboratory themed room; and The Wine Vault, a winery-themed room; offer three distinct experiences for visitors, who have one hour to put together clues and escape a sealed room. Visitors must work together in teams in a fun experience that test their team-building, time management, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In addition to the three rooms, The Grapevine Escape offers five different Escape Excursions, which can bring the fun to you.

PreGel Opens Fifth U.S. International Training Center in Texas

PreGel’s International Training Centers has opened a fifth U.S. state-of-the-art learning facility in Grapevine. PreGel’s centers were established to be an educational resource for students of all skill levels in the field of artisan frozen desserts and pastry. The Grapevine location will expand on the company’s dedication to offering quality education, guidance and innovation in specialty dessert arts, adding to four existing locations in Charlotte, North Carolina; Los Angeles; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and Chicago.

The PreGel International Training Centers – Dallas is located at 612 E. Dallas Road, Suite 300, Grapevine, just northwest of Dallas center city. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes (6 miles) to drive from the Dallas Fort Worth Airport to the facility.  

The entire property of the new Lone Star State location measures approximately 11,000 square feet and hosts a training kitchen complete with four stations and top-of-the-line batch freezers, soft serve machines, refrigerators, display cases, etc. A conference room is fortified with audio/visual equipment for lectures and corporate training. Accommodations hold up to 12 students.

PreGel’s newest location also features warehouse space to store the company’s specialty dessert ingredients and better service the growing customer base in the central region with faster delivery and convenient customer pick-up onsite.
